Welcome to the Public Sector Accessibility Toolkit

This site was created to help organisations comply with the Public Sector Accessibility regulations. We can provide a number of services to help improve the accessibility of any size website, from small parish councils and town councils, through to county councils and universities.

Public Sector accessibility regulations

It is a legal requirement for most public sector organisations to meet accessibility regulations, specifically The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

To meet the requirement, you'll need to assess your website for accessibility problems and produce an accessibility statement that show users where the problems on your site exist. Where possible, any problems found should be fixed as soon as possible. The accessibility statement should be reviewed and updated regularly, at least once a year.
